3 Year Old Kinder

"Tell me and I forget, teach me and I remember, involve me and I learn" - Benjamin Franklin

Our 3YO Kindergarten program is staffed by two experienced early childhood educators, with a maximum group size of 22 students.

The program is play-based and evolves from children’s individual and group interests, as well as intentional teaching activities. The children have the opportunity to develop their social, emotional and communication skills through engaging experiences and meaningful relationships. This in turn allows for them to grow in confidence for future learning. Kindergarten is a chance for children to interact with their peers in a group situation away from their parents and usual carers.

Through first hand play experiences, children will have the opportunity to:

  • Play with other children and relate to other adults
  • Begin to belong to a group
  • Become more independent and self confident
  • Begin to learn the concepts of turn taking and negotiating
  • Experience a variety of materials and activities
  • Learn through watching, doing and listening.

The learning experiences are open ended to allow the children the opportunity to engage at their own developmental level.

The children are involved in establishing and maintaining group guidelines and routines and our group times include discussions, games, music and movement which allow children to gain confidence, coordination and express opinions and ideas.

Our natural outdoor learning space caters for the development of their gross motor skills and allows the children to challenge themselves through exploration.
