At Yarra Glen Preschool we acknowledge that children learn best through play and being active participants in their learning. Play is an essential part of a child’s growth and development and how they learn about themselves and the world around them. Our Educational Programs provide opportunities for children to develop their physical, social, emotional and intellectual skills in a fun, safe and nurturing setting. We focus on providing an inclusive, welcoming and respectful environment, where each child is valued for their uniqueness, as well as the experiences and knowledge they bring to our group.
Our program is underpinned by both the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework and National Early Years Learning Framework, guiding staff in their delivery of the educational program. Our program consists of a blend of play based, open-ended and intentional learning experiences that are designed to encourage all children to participate at their own level and at their own pace.
At Yarra Glen Preschool, the children and their interests lead the learning journey and direct the experiences, activities and materials that are offered by our experienced teaching team.
